We built Psychologist To Go because we believe mental health support should be within reach for everyone. The people who come to us are often sharing things they have never said out loud before. That trust matters to us, and protecting your privacy is part of how we honour it.
This policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, and what rights you have over it. Please read it. If anything is unclear, write to us at contact@psychologist2go.com and we will explain it plainly.
1. Who We Are
Psychologist To Go is an online therapy platform connecting people with licensed psychologists through secure remote sessions. We serve clients from across the world and our team is based in Pakistan. Our website is psychologist2go.com.
2. What Information We Collect
We keep this minimal on purpose.
You share with us directly:
Your name and email address when booking an appointment or contacting us
Your responses to our self-evaluation tools for anxiety and depression
Any messages you send through our contact form or by email
We collect automatically:
Basic website usage data such as which pages you visit, your browser type, and your device
Cookies, which are explained in their own section below
What we do not collect:
We do not collect or store your payment details. All payments go through a third-party payment processor and never pass through our servers.
We do not record or store your therapy sessions.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use what you share with us to respond to your questions, schedule and manage your appointments, connect you with the right psychologist, and improve how the platform works. We also send appointment reminders and service updates when relevant.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it to build profiles for any purpose other than providing you with care.
4. When We Share Your Information
Your information stays with us and those directly involved in your care. Specifically:
Your assigned psychologist receives what is necessary to support your sessions
Our payment processor receives only what is needed to complete your transaction
Our website hosting and email providers may process basic technical data under strict confidentiality agreements
We may disclose information if required by law, for example in response to a court order
Your therapist is bound by professional confidentiality. What you discuss in sessions stays between you and your therapist, with one exception: if there is a serious and immediate risk of harm to you or someone else, your therapist may be obligated to act.
5. Your Mental Health Data
We take particular care with mental health information because of how sensitive it is.
When you complete our self-evaluation tools, your responses are processed in your browser and are not stored on our servers unless you explicitly submit them as part of booking an appointment. Session notes and clinical records are held by your therapist under their own professional and ethical obligations. We do not use any health-related data for advertising, research, or anything outside of your direct care.
6. Cookies
Cookies are small files that websites store on your device. We use two types:
Essential cookies keep the site functioning, for example remembering your session while you navigate
Analytics cookies help us understand how people move through the site so we can make it better. This data is anonymised and never tied to you personally.
You can manage or turn off cookies in your browser settings. Turning off essential cookies may affect how the site works for you.
7. How Long We Keep Your Data
We hold your personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, or as required under applicable law. If you want your data deleted, email us at contact@psychologist2go.com and we will handle it without delay.
8. Your Rights
Wherever you are based, you can ask us to:
Show you what personal data we hold about you
Correct anything that is inaccurate
Delete your data
Stop using your data for a specific purpose
Withdraw any consent you have previously given
Send your request to contact@psychologist2go.com. We will respond within 30 days.
9. Security
We use HTTPS encryption across the site and take reasonable technical measures to protect your information from unauthorised access or loss. That said, no platform can promise perfect security. If you ever have concerns, contact us straight away.
10. Minors
Our services are open to people aged 15 and above. If you are between 15 and 17, we ask for a parent or guardian's consent before you begin therapy. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 15 without that consent in place.
11. Links to Other Websites
Our site links to social media and other external platforms. Those sites have their own privacy policies and we have no control over them. We recommend checking those policies when you visit.
12. Updates to This Policy
We will update this policy when our practices change or when the law requires it. The date at the top of this page will always reflect when it was last revised. Checking in occasionally is a good habit.
13. Get in Touch
